Vienna, November 18, 2019 — With the motto “A better view on privacy” Objective Development, developer of the popular personal firewall Little Snitch has today introduced “Internet Access Policy Viewer”, a new member in their family of privacy apps.
The program is part of a privacy initiative called “Internet Access Policy”, which was launched by Objective Development in 2018, inviting developers to describe the Internet usage of their apps in a brief, easy to understand manner and to include that information with their apps, to disclose to which servers on the Internet their programs connect to, and for what purpose they do so.
The initiative has met with great approval in the Mac developer community and is already supported by a large number of well-known manufacturers who already ship their products with an IAP, expressing their commitment to transparency and privacy.
The Internet Access Policy Viewer, available for free from the Mac App Store, now lets you see at a glance which apps are already equipped with an Internet Access Policy. Furthermore, the content of these IAPs can be viewed in order to get a detailed picture of the Internet usage of these apps.
A press kit with high resolution screen shots and logos can be downloaded from https://obdev.at/downloads/press/IAPViewer-PressKit.zip
